- flew home from soccer practice and ordered tickets online
- hopped in the Jeep at 11:15 am for a game that started at 12:30 (did I mention that it was a 1.5hr drive??)
- waited for tickets to be emailed to us on the drive down
- call ticket seller to find nearest FedEx location to the HSBC Centre so we could print the tickets once across the border.
- beautiful, sunny drive down
- 30 minutes from the border a rock shot up at our windshield and chipped it
- 10 mins from border have to stop for gas (left home so fast we didn’t think to check the gas tank!! DOH!)
- get to border and encounter a 40 minute wait to cross. (The last few times we crossed on a Sunday afternoon we didn’t have to wait at all!)
- PASS HSBC Centre to get to FedEx, print tickets
- FINALLY get to the game half way through although we did listen to the game on the radio in transit.
It’s been a very long time since I posted about any groceries on Krista’s Kraving’s, so I took a few photos after I shopped at Costco and the “big” grocery store on Saturday. I still haven’t done our regular grocery run, yet. By “big” grocery store, I mean the one across town that stocks certain items which I love/need that my regular store does not carry. Costco was a big haul this time because we needed stuff like toilet paper, toothpaste, etc…
I was thrilled to find the individual Greek yogurt’s. I have Kristie the thank for that. She keeps me in the know as to what our Costco is carrying!! :) And from Zehrs; Nature’s Path and Kashi are 2 of my favourite brands and are well stocked at the “big” grocery store. I bought other items as well, but mainly stuff for the kids lunches, etc. What been popular in your grocery cart lately??
I’ve been enjoying some pretty fab eat, too. Check them out! Well folks, that’s the end for me. I’m off to do some laundry, make some muffins for the week and hang out with my fam! Have a great rest of the day!
Bye for now!!
Oh my goodnes--what a grocery trip! Glad you had a fun adventure.
ReplyDeleteAw! You're such an awesome Mama to take on the impromptu road trip so your little man could see his favorite player! And it sounds like the trip was a fun one ;)
ReplyDeleteLots of great buys. I love those multigrain crackers- yum! And I'm on a HUGE Greek yogurt kick as of late. Hope you're having a nice Monday off

I love spontaneous trips! What a fun adventure! :) Hope you had a fun Monday off! :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun way to spend a day off of work!! Looks like a blast! And no mind to those people giving you dirty looks..you guys would know hockey better than they would anyway! ;)
ReplyDeleteWow! DD and DS have the best parents EVER! The Washington Capitals are my team...well I'm not a big hockey fan (yikes) but I have seen them play before. The CEO of my mom's company use to (or may still) own the Capitals so he gave out free tickets to employees all the time. Glad you and your fam had a great time.
ReplyDeleteSUPER fun day!
ReplyDeleteYum yum, I love Crunchmaster crackers!! We sell those where I work and they are very popular. I also love Odwalla bars (and I'm giving some away for my Giveaway this week!).
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to have a family with whom to take "random road trips". Seriously, that sounds like so much fun! I don't know that I would go to a random hockey game (my dad and brother would, any day) but just getting out of the house for a day and doing something fun like this is just so great! Glad you had a nice day Krista.
ah, you're so awesome to have such an awesome day for your kids! too much fun!!!
ReplyDeleteand omg you are going to love those crackers!!! i ate an entire bag in like, 3 days because i dipped them in everything! they're so good!!!
and love all the toothpaste...looks like what my mom picks up, except she doesn't have kids at the house anymore. we just steal them from her. lol.
Sounds like an awesome day, Krista!! Love all the pics! I bet the kids had a blast!! :)
ReplyDeletethat is so neat you have a family day!
