ABC’s

TGIF!!!  How is everyone?  I have some time tonight so I thought I’d put up a fun post.  Katie posted a fun ABC’s “get to know me” that I thought I’d give a whirl, too.  Enjoy!
A.  Age- 36 (37 in 19 days!)
B.  Bed Size:  Queen
C. Chore I dislike – Vacuuming.  Ugh…..
D.  Dogs- Love them!!
E.  Essential Start of Your Day – Shower
F.  Favourite Color – Purple
G. Gold or Silver ?  Silver.  Gold can get tacky.
H.  Height – 5’7”
I . Instruments you play or played ?  Played the accordion when I was a kid.  Yes, you can laugh at me!
J.  Job Title – Payroll Administrator
K. Kids – TWO!
L.  Live – Ontario, Canada
M. Moms Name – Rose
N.  Nicknames – Kris

Q. Quote from a movie – I really don’t watch enough movies to remember a particular quote…..
R.  Righty or Lefty – Righty
S. Siblings – 1 brother (32) one sister (25)
T.  Time you wake up?  6:30 on weekdays, whenever I wake up naturally on the weekend; usually no later than 8am
U.  Underwear – Bikini.  No thongs for this girl!
V.  Vegetables You don’t like? Never liked eggplant.  And for some reason this really bothers me!!
W.  What makes you run Late?  My kids
X.  X-rays have you had any?  LOTS!
Y.  Yummy Food you make – Muffins, Pad Thai and oatmeal
Z.  Zoo animal Favourite?  Polar Bears
We had a fun dinner tonight, too!  A recipe for maple BBQ turkey sloppy joe’s caught my eye in the newest edition of Rachael Ray magazine and as I was watching the show yesterday she actually made it.  That sealed the deal for me! IMG_5271 IMG_5272
This is one of her “lazy” 30 minute meals.  I actually think this came together in 20 minutes!  I let it simmer on the stove longer than the recipe said or we’d have been eating at 4:45.  LOL!  I served the joe’s on WW ciabatta buns which I toasted in the oven with some Swiss cheese:IMG_5275 IMG_5274
And because I always like to have veggie’s on my plate I steamed some broccoli as a side.IMG_5276
A tasty, quick, easy Friday night meal!  Enjoy the weekend, folks!!
Bye for now!!

  1. Haha do you feel left out not liking eggplant?! You know you want to!

Happy Friday, Krista. Have a great weekend. It was nice to see your hubby guest posting here. I don't have any suggestions since I actually have very low blood pressure.

  3. I love this survey! So much fun! Josh doesn't like eggplant either! I find it so funny because I don't think it has a really strong taste/flavor. YUMMY dinner. RR has fabulous ideas. Enjoy your weekend

  9. I love these "get to know me" posts. Not an eggplant fan? I think it's an acquired taste. The texture can be somewhat disgusting, in my opinion. I think the preparation and spices are key! Roasting is my favorite way to eat it.

    Happy early birthday to you!

I just read your post below (well, saw the initial question from your hubby), and weight loss is the best way to lower BP. Your hubby is thin though, so perhaps try fish oil! Talk to doctor first though. Also, there is some research about CoQ10 and its ability to lower BP.
