That is exactly how I feel today. DS was up at 2am sick to his stomach so that was fun. Not. I finally fell back asleep around 5 only to be woken up by the alarm at 6:30. Yuck. Lord knows how I used to pull all nighters without flinching. I did get a great breakfast into me;
Then off to work it was (my hubby stayed home) with my basket of mini muffins for the HR Olympics that our department hosted today…
I kept 2 aside for my morning snack:
I actually stood at my filing cabinet to do some work this morning because I was getting a little too comfy in my chair! HA! I knew I didn’t have much energy for a full out workout, but I really felt the need to move so I walked on the treadmill with a 7% incline.

At 1pm the festivities began with a hockey shoot out. Then we moved on to curling and finally bobsledding. Once everyone was done the 3 events we met up in the staff kitchen for treats provided by the HR department. This also qualified as much lunch!
My supervisors daughter decorates cakes as a hobby and made one for us today:
Here’s my piece with a raspberry bar:
These are a few of the “decorations” that were posted:
The idea was to get all the employees together for an afternoon of fun and I think it was a success! It sure was hard to work after that, though. LOL!
Once home from work and changed into my comfy’s, I relaxed on the couch (read: almost fell asleep) for a bit until we decided what to do for dinner. My hubby was feeling Thai so we ordered out. I had my usual….a fresh shrimp roll:
DD and I shared. And my all time favourite, a mango salad:
I ate, and enjoyed, every single bite. I could eat this every day. Seriously. Yum!
We had tickets for a hockey game tonight but made the executive decision to stay home instead. DS is feeling much better but I think it’s best that he stay warm and gets to bed early. I was able to get a hold of one of his hockey buddy’s parents who gladly took the tickets from us. I’m just glad they’re getting used!
I feel really out of whack with my eating today. My appetite has been really off. I’m sure it’s nothing a good sleep won’t fix! In a few minutes we’ll be tucking in to watch the opening ceremonies. My apologies if this post makes no sense. I think I'll just end here so as not to make things worse! LOL! But first a give away! Stop over at A Change of Pace for Me for a chance to win some Bobo’s Bars!!! Have a great night, bloggie’s!
Bye for now!!
