Are Ya 1, Are Ya 2, Are Ya 3….

You’d have to keep going for awhile! ;) So today is my birthday. And I couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful day! The sun was shining and it was, dare I say, hot. Short sleeves and shades…..Perfect!

Like yesterday, I made my breakfast after dropping DS off at hockey camp. I popped into the Bulk Barn yesterday and stocked up on rye, kamut and spelt flakes and chose rye for today.

• 1 cup water
• 1/2 cup rye flakes
• cinnamon
• raisins
• almond butter
• kefir

After eating DD and I borrowed KC and took him for a ride in the Jeep to a popular trail in the area. He loves a car ride:

By the time we came home it was time for lunch. I filled a bowl with baby spinach some leftover quinoa and this can of tuna:

I had a coupon for a free can which is why it ended up in my pantry. Here it is up on top of my greens.

It was OK. Definitely spicy, but not to peanutty. I also had a wee bit of trouble getting past the look of it. It just didn’t appear appetizing to me. After my salad DD and I noshed on some secret granola bars.

I promise a reveal by week’s end!! :)

DD went to play with the neighbour kids for a bit after lunch so I took the opportunity to catch some sun out on the deck with a few magazines for a half hour or so. The I spent 1 hour in my flower beds getting rid of all the winter “stuff”. I know it’ll probably snow again, but I figure I’m one step ahead now. Some of my plants are even breaking ground! YAY! When she came home we took a walk to the grocery store to get some fixings for subs for dinner. Then we picked DS up from camp.

In the 10 minutes that I was gone my MIL dropped a b-day present off for me. Check it out!!

She knows me well. LOL I can’t wait to get into this treat! And now that the kids sports are easing up, I’ll actually have time for to do it.

DS had practice with his team from 5-5:50 and us gals had Pilate’s at 5:45, hence the sub dinner. I baked up 2 Dempster’s WW oven fresh baguettes and let them cool for 15 minutes before loading them with goodies. My 6” had provolone, Swiss, turkey, ham, cucumber, tomato, lettuce and honey Dijon dressing on it:

Mmmm…so good! And much cheaper than Subway, too. I also had a Gala apple:

I’ve got The Biggest Loser on now and just finished a camera shy dark chocolate blueberry banana muffin. And I’m working on a tea:
