I was awake on and off last night with a stuffy nose and slept through my alarm this morning. OOPS! Luckily my hubby realized that I wasn’t in the shower yet as he was getting ready to leave and came to wake me up. I was back on track after a quick shower, though!
-1 cup water
-1/2 cup Quaker oats
-cinnamon
-craisins
-kefir
-hemp seeds
This also helped to set things right!
Last night by 8:30 I was starving so I went to the kitchen for a bowl of cereal. While digging around in the pantry I came across a box I totally forgot I had!
Nature’s Path sent me this awhile ago and it got pushed to the back of the shelf. I have no photo of my actual bowl because the flash wrecked it, but I had a good 1.5 cup serving with some USAB. This cereal was fantastic! As much as I love to eat chocolate, I love the flavour of vanilla. And this was loaded with vanilla goodness. It was also crunchy and stayed that way in the milk. DD really enjoyed it, too. I give this a definite 2 thumbs up!
I successfully managed to get through all this keypunching at work today.
Depending on my mood I either love or hate this part of the job because there’s not much thinking involved. Today was a love day as my thinking cap was forgotten at home along with my Halls. :/
Here are my snacks that I consumed, also pretty mindlessly.
I was feeling energetic enough to go to the gym today so I took advantage of that. I’m on 11:30 lunch so my gym time doesn’t interfere with the Monday yoga class. I did 30 minutes on the elliptical and then 20 of strength “training”.

Not bad…better yet that no one noticed the Kleenex I had shoved in my sports bra! LOL!
While at the grocery store yesterday buying the fruit platter, I bought myself a mandarin orange salad that was reduced to sell. Yes, I’m cheap like that! HA! I didn’t end up eating it at the hockey party as planned so I brought it along for lunch today. I drizzled it with this Asian dressing:
I’m a HUGE fan of Asian dressing on my greens! Here the salad!
I got through about ¾ of this before I’d had enough. Not that it wasn’t tasty, I just think that soup probably would’ve been a better option for me today.
Today is my MIL’s birthday and seeing as we couldn’t make it out there for dinner last night due to DS’s party, we picked up one of her fave’s, Chinese and went there tonight. We don’t order Chinese much so I wasn’t sure where to get it from, but some co-workers told me about a place that opened in our neighbourhood recently that was rumoured to be good. And they were right, it was really good!! I don’t really know what everything that I ate is called, but here’s what it looked like:
Then we had black forest cake for dessert. YUM!
Before I go I want to show you what I got in the mail today!!
