Another Monday Down

The sun was shining brilliantly again today! Being Canadian, I am not naïve enough to think that winter is over, but I’ll take this while we have it complaint free! :) IMG_0701
-cup water
-1/2 cup Quaker oats
-cinnamon
-raisins
-mashed banana
-kefir IMG_0700
We got great news from DS’s hockey coach today. The team that was tied with us for second place lost last night so the boys are guaranteed a spot in the finals! If they win tomorrow, they’ll get home ice advantage so keep your fingers crossed!

Snacks of the day! IMG_0705 IMG_0702
Mmmm…the WCMN Luna was superb! Love it. I still think the chocolate peppermint stick one comes in first. Just by a hair, though.

Even though it was yoga day in the gym I did my 30 minutes of cardio and 20 of strength. They like us to be out of the gym by 12:40 on Monday’s, but I decided that I would be quiet enough with the weights that I could stay. And so I did. I’m such a rebel! ;)

Time: 50 minutes
Avg Hr: 162
Max Hr: 181
Calories Torched: 489
Distance: 3.4 miles

Lunch was a simple sandwich today. I used the last half of a WW baguette (review to come!) and stacked it with turkey pepperoni, roasted red peppers, LC cheese wedge and romaine: IMG_0703
Mmmmm….. IMG_0704

It was just DD and me for dinner because the boys were at hockey practice. I made some all white meat chicken burgers on the GF grill for us. I mixed the meat with some bread crumbs, egg whites, onions and spices like cumin, chilli powder, oregano, basil, salt and pepper. I served them up with Sabra hummus, goat brie, lettuce and hot pepper rings (for me): IMG_0707

Look how melty and juicy this burger looks! IMG_0709

Dessert was even better! DD and I each had a serving of Averie’s chocolate mousse with strawberries and some fruity cream cheese dip. IMG_0710

You know you want some! Speaking of Averie, she’s hosting a great Celestial Tea giveaway! Go check it out. Also, go on over to Mastering Public Health for a 10% coupon code for Love Street products!

Bye for now!!

  1. Love the looks of the mashed banana on your breakfast. Glad you were able to get your workout in despite the Monday yoga. And what a way to end the day. Averie is the dessert queen. Congrats to DS

  12. Weee!! Finger's crossed for DS to have home ice advantage! I'm soaking in this weather as much as I can, I know winter isn't over with yet either! Snow in March/April is always an unfortunate possibility in our parts!
