And Swimming Lessons Are Done!

I must say that as much as I don’t like my hubby having to work the afternoon shift, it sure eases up the morning routine for me! I made a delicious bowl of blended green tea latte oats this morning….

-1 cup water
-1/2 cup soft tofu
-1 tsp matcha powder
-splash of vanilla extract
-1/2 cup Quaker oats
-PC Sweet Cinnamon Sprinkles
I hauled out my trusty immersion blender and whipped up the water, tofu and matcha. Once that was up to a simmer, I dumped in the oats and vanilla extract. When it was nice and thick I creamed it all up with the blender, poured it in the bowl and doused it with the sprinkles. So incredible!

I made another green monster last night to “eat” while watching the Biggest Loser. I used the same ingredients as the night before, only a bit more of each…..spinach, strawberries, unsweetened almond breeze, agave and ground flax seed.
I must admit that I am really enjoy these and have already started looking forward to one each night!

As per yesterday, I nibbled on some dried figs as I worked.
I also noshed on these bad boys throughout the day…
I “hid” the handful in my desk drawer so that I didn’t inhale them! In doing this, I enjoyed them over the course of the day. I didn’t go back for more and I hope that the bowl is EMPTY when I get to work tomorrow!! :)

My back has been giving me a bit of grief since the weekend so I decided it would be best to take my run down a notch today. I ran at 6.2 with no incline for 50 minutes. It was a really nice pace for me (9.4 minute mile) and it didn’t aggravate my back issues!

Time: 50 minutes
Avg Hr: 161
Max Hr: 175
Calories Burned: 460
Distance: 5.08 miles

Lunch today was a Spicy Szechuan Style Vegetables & Chicken Weight Watchers Smart Ones.
These meals are always good in a pinch as far as I’m concerned. I thought about bringing some chili for lunch, but wasn’t really feeling it. This guy was pretty tasty although I wish I had thought to bring extra veggies to bulk it up.
Lunch "dessert" was another bowl of sweet strawberries....
Just before leaving work I snacked on a handful (literally) of Nature's Path Optimum Cinnamon Blueberry cereal. I really needed something with crunch as I was good and ready to leave but the clock was moving so s-l-o-w!! :)
**CONTEST ALERT** Want to try your luck at winning some great stuff from Quaker? Check out Lindsay’s blog For The Love Of Oats for a chance!!

The kids and I didn't have to go out to DD's swimming lesson until 6:45 so I was able to cook up a decent dinner for the first time this week!! They wanted chicken Alfredo and who am I to say no even when I hate the stuff?? Seeing as I was making pasta anyways, I opted to have some, too....my way! I mixed 3oz of pasta, 3oz grilled chicken breast, random veggies and about 3/4 of a cup of garlic diced tomatoes.

Oh, yeah! This meal was uber yummy! This is only half. It ended up being a HUGE portion so I put some aside for lunch. My sweet end was a Cadbury Thin toffee crunch chocolate bar. Of course!
Tonight is the last lesson that DD will have for this session. YIPEE!! The next block of lessons doesn't start up until April so we have a days off through the week now. Amen. :)

I mentioned yesterday that my hubby went to Sam's Club yesterday and snagged some deals. Here's a few things that he bought...Jam, children's Tylenol, case of water, not shown, 2 big bags of frozen veg, a box of Burritos and a Shepard's pie....

Quaker oats and cat food, as well as the 2 boxes of Cadbury Thin chocolate bars (picture shown yesterday)

All this stuff was only $88.00! I'd like to go myself over the weekend because I'm positive there are more food related items that I could save on.

**NEWSFLASH!!** Do not forget to enter my Great Giveaway for a chance to win some really cool products that are my personal fave's!!! The contest ends tomorrow, March 5 at midnight EST. I will draw a winner using the random number integrator on March 6. An extra bonus...it's open to anyone with a mailing address!! Click here now. Do it!! :)

Bye for now!!
