Whoa….it’s been a long, but good, day! There were only 3 of us in the office today so it was uber quiet. I got a crap load of work done with all the daily distractions missing. It was one of the days were I felt good about the work that got done at the end of the day. It all started out with a lovely bowl of oats.
- 2/3 cup water
- 1/3 cup Quaker oats
- mashed banana
- cinnamon
- cinnamon honey
- Sahale snack mix
- hemp seeds
I’ve really been trying to shake my breakfasts up the past few weeks, but today I just wanted my oats. Yum!
Just before heading to the gym I snacked on this almond/walnut mix for some staying power and energy;
I’m positive we have something along these lines in Canada, I just have to source them out. I’m really bad at portioning nuts out!
My knee was bothering me when I got out of bed this morning, so I decided that I needed to rest it up. I jumped on the stationary bike instead today with my Clean Eating mag. I truly read this cover to cover, word for word so it takes me a bit to get through. I already have some recipes ear marked to try! Back to the gym!
- Time 50 minutes
- Avg Hr: 133
- Max Hr: 155
- Calories Burned: 329
- Distance: 5.2 miles
I also did some really good stretching because my legs were pretty tight when I got off!
- romaine
- spinach
- orange & yellow bell peppers
- carrots
- parsley and dill
- 1/2 a veggie portabello & Swiss burger
- fig balsamic dressing
That’s where it’s at!!! :D
I had a wicked craving for chocolate by about 4pm but there was none to be found. I settled for my grapes and cantaloupe…
While delish, they did nothing to tame the chocolate monster. I took care of that after dinner! :)
We ate an early dinner tonight because we had to be at DS’s end of the year soccer party for 6:30. We made quick salmon fillets, zucchini and peppers (both from the garden) on the BBQ. I also ate a few freshly picked yellow cherry tomatoes on the side;
Dessert started off with some chocolate covered edamame;
And ended with 2 PB & chocolate chip cookies;
The soccer party was pretty cool. They had all these blow up soccer activities happening and the teams got pizza’s and bobble head trophies;
They also had 2 “pro’s” there showing the kids some decent tricks!
We spent a solid 2hrs there before heading off to get ice cream with another family. Everybody had one of those new twists from Wendy’s, but I just wasn’t feeling that much ice cream tonight. Instead, I had the hub hit the drive thru at McDonald’s on the way home for a small strawberry sundae. None of the picture’s I took were clear enough to post, but I’m sure you all know what one looks like. It was the perfect size and hit the spot.
It’s almost 10pm and I’m gonna go hang out on the deck while it’s still warm out. The perfect way to end the day!
Bye for now!!
What a fun party!! Used to love soccer (I was on a team for many years when I was younger).

The soccer party looks like fun :) I definitely wouldn't be able to do those tricks! Never really liked soccer.. but I guess it's because my dad made me play volleyball and basketball.
ReplyDeleteYour salad looks amazing!!!! Love all of the ingredients
It looks like you had a great time at the party. :D I have a volleyball thing to go to tonight that probably won't end up being as much fun. >.<
