More Food

Hey all! How has your Thursday been? I’ve had another busy one, but it’s all good! After posting last night I warmed up some chocolate peppermint stick soy milk as a bit of a snack. 100_7615

I started the day out with my usual oats; 100_7617

  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup PC 5 grain cereal
  • cinnamon
  • almond butter
  • carob chips
  • pecans

I remembered soon after arriving at work that it was the day for our office potluck lunch. More food. *sigh* My work goes kinda nuts with food this time of year. Another great spread was put out, but I didn’t get any photos this time. Here is my plate, though! 100_7634

FRUIT! A mini pita with roasted red pepper hummus, 2 pinwheels, crackers and a bit of cheese, meatballs, shepherds pie and pasta. They brought out trays of cabbage rolls later on and I had one of those, too. Everything was very good. And I kept the sweet stuff to a minimum today. Check out my “dessert”. 100_7635 100_7630

And I enjoyed a coffee laced with eggnog: 100_7637

I did bring some treats home for for the kids, though. 100_7636

To keep myself from complete data entry boredom this afternoon, I amused myself by taking pictures of my necklace. 100_7629

I bet I had 15 on my camera by the time I was done!

Needless to say, I wasn’t very hungry for supper, certainly not for sausages which were on the meal plan for tonight! Instead, I went for a salad with pecans and raspberry walnut dressing and a toasted WW English muffin with a LC wedge and a 1/4 cup of egg whites. 100_7638

After dinner we all went to DS’s hockey practice and then up to the mall where I picked up a few more presents and a birthday present for a party DS is going to tomorrow night. I bought a GREAT pair of earrings which I will photograph and post tomorrow because the flash is not doing them justice. The best part? They were on sale for $4.99. SCORE!

I think I’m going to end this here and go grab a snack because I’m feeling hungry now and dinner was long ago. I’m thinking a bowl of cereal will do the trick. Hehe!

Bye for now!!

  5. Can't wait to see the earrings - sounds like a great deal! Those gingerbread men are decorated so nicely! I may be a baker but I'm NOT a decorator. A 5 year old could do better than me!

  6. Pretty necklace! Food is everywhere this year for me... I think it's because I've been so concious lately about what I eat.
